Michael Lawson, founder of PotentiaIT, discovered his passion for technology in an unconventional way. Initially motivated by his desire to avoid outdoor activities in the heat, Michael enrolled in classes on the future of technology, the use of robotics in warfare, and programming. It wasn't long before he found himself immersed in the world of coding, debugging, and problem-solving.

Michael is passionate about roles that allow him to investigate and solve complex problems and thrives in collaborative environments where knowledge sharing is encouraged.

During his time at AT&T, Michael participated in a company-wide training initiative called Workforce 2020. The program required employees to obtain training up to college degree level or certifications in Cybersecurity or Big Data. Michael chose Cybersecurity, as it was an area he was already familiar with and enjoyed.

His interest in Cybersecurity led him to take forensics classes, and he is considering pursuing an M.S in Digital Forensics in the future.

With over 30 years of experience in the IT industry, Michael has worked for several prominent companies, including Microsoft, AT&T, and Compaq Computers. Michael is a certified ethical hacker and is committed to providing secure and ethical IT services to PotentiaIT's clients.
